The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways recently launched the National Logistics Portal – Marie (NLP-Marine). It is a single window system that will centralize all necessary documentation, compliance certifications, and all other processes needed for Exim trade to minimize regulatory complexities. Note that it will be of help to the logistics sector spread across the country covering all modes of transport from waterways, and roadways to airways with an e-marketplace to allow hassle-free logistics services.

This single-window platform will bring all the stakeholders (carrier, cargo, banking and insurance, and regulatory bodies) under one umbrella and minimize logistics costs. This new system is developed to replace the port community system being earlier used by the ports for logistics mapping.
