Global shipping and logistics leader CMA CGM has added a strategic Hazira port call to its BIGEX-2 service, significantly enhancing India–Middle East Gulf connectivity and reinforcing its commitment to supporting India’s growing import-export trade.
This new service call strengthens port coverage along key westbound and eastbound rotations linking Nhava Sheva, Hazira, Mundra, Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port (Abu Dhabi), Salalah, Jeddah and Djibouti, delivering improved transit times, reliability and route efficiency for exporters and importers alike.
Hazira, a major EXIM gateway serving South Gujarat’s industrial belt, including chemicals, petrochemicals, engineering and manufacturing sectors, is expected to benefit from reduced logistics costs and broader market access. The service enhancement aligns with CMA CGM’s long-term strategy to boost regional maritime connectivity, supply chain resilience and service reliability in response to rising trade volumes between India and the Middle East.
Industry observers note that this expanded port call not only supports local exporters by reducing inland transit inefficiencies but also reinforces Hazira’s role as a key hub on global trade routes, further positioning CMA CGM as a trusted partner in India’s maritime growth story.
