India’s industrial and warehousing sector demand bolsters: Report

According to a report by Colliers, the year 2022 has been good for the industrial and warehousing sector as it witnessed increased demand after covid led slump. In the top five metros, approx 24.5 million sq. ft. of warehousing space was absorbed, which showed an increase of 8 percent on a yearly basis across the top five metros. Delhi topped the list in metros. Importantly, the year 2022 witnessed the 3PL sector on the top for warehousing space, contributing to about 44% of the total demand.

The IPC, Colliers stated that due to growth in consumer demand, the logistics players, e-commerce,and retail companies are leasing warehousing space. With the changing consumer behavior across India, progress will accelerate growth. The demand is from metros and venues are opening with last-mile connectivity in tier I and II cities.
