Deendayal Port Authority Partners to Advance Green Hydrogen Ecosystem

During the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, the Deendayal Port Authority (DPA), Kandla signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green-Kutch NextGen Pvt. Ltd. to promote community participation in the emerging green hydrogen ecosystem under India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission.

This collaboration aims to empower MSMEs, create new employment opportunities for youth, and accelerate decarbonisation efforts across the maritime and industrial value chain. As part of the agreement, DPA will develop the “Kutch Green Hydrogen Park,” offering plug-and-play infrastructure that enables industry partners to establish modular green hydrogen production and storage facilities, a critical step toward India’s Net Zero Vision.

By anchoring green energy innovation at Kandla Port, this initiative positions the port as a sustainability leader in the maritime sector while supporting broader national goals around clean energy adoption and industrial transition.
