Panama Canal Enhances Transit Reservation System for Global Customers

The Panama Canal is upgrading its Transit Reservation System to offer faster and more convenient service for all customers. Beginning October 5, 2025, the Transit Reservation Office will operate from 07:00 to 22:00 local time, ensuring that clients, especially those in distant time zones, can complete transactions without waiting for the next business day.

All transactions, including auctions, can now be processed during these extended hours, while tie-breaking competitions will continue at their usual start times. Additionally, starting October 7, 2025, Reservation Period 3 will close daily at 15:00 local time, applicable to all vessel categories: Neopanamax, Supers, and Regular.

These enhancements reflect the Panama Canal’s dedication to continuously improving its services and responding to the evolving needs of the maritime industry.
