Railways to continue levying busy season surcharges from October 1

The Indian Railways is levying a surcharge of 15% to all goods traffic from October 1. 2022. The surcharge is on the movement of all commodities and goods except coal and coke, automobiles and containers transported in specific wagons.

The surcharges are only for the busy season from October 1 to June 30.
