The company develops, markets and supports technologies globally for the mineral processing, metal smelting and refining industries. These products are stored in warehouses in Brisbane and Port Klang Free Zone. From there they are picked, packed and distributed to North and South America, South East Asia, Eurasia and Africa.

COMPANY’S REQUIREMENT

The company had further growth and expansion plans and were looking for a comprehensive solution provider - a logistics partner that could cater to all their logistics needs. This included:

• Meeting required lead times
• Building data integration tools to link with proprietary ERP
• Possessing deep knowledge and insights about emerging markets that the client operates in
• Executing pick, pack and dispatch with 99%+ accuracy due to high-value nature of the product
• Maintaining a consistent standard level of service
• Scaling up and scaling down quickly in relevant geographies using trusted 3 and 4PL locations

Keeping the company’s requirement in mind, our team of experts came up with customised solutions:

• Designed and developed WMS and ERP data-sharing specifically for the client.
• For better coordination and to simplify the distribution process, we opened four warehouses originally: Brisbane, Port Klang Free Zone, Vancouver and Johannesburg. This was later downsized to the two current locations.

RESULT
